About Dr. Helen T. Gelhot
Professional
Dr. Gelhot first began her education at St. Louis Community College and Jewish Hospital School of Nursing. She studied Pre-Med at Washington University, and received her Bachelor of Arts from Webster University in 1982.

In 1987 she received her Doctor of Medicine from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. She performed her General Surgery Internship at The Jewish Hospital of Cincinnati, and did an Anesthesiology Residency at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

Dr. Gelhot returned to St. Louis and completed an Internal Medicine Residency at Forest Park Hospital, then spent a year at St. Louis University Hospital.

Personal
Dr. Gelhot is a native of St. Louis and currently resides here with her husband, Paul, and their daughter.

She is an active volunteer in her community.
